What is silent conferencing?
In a silent conference there are no loudspeakers competing for the room. The audio—a speaker, an interpreter, or several parallel presentations—is sent to each attendee's headphones on a dedicated channel. Traditionally this is done with infrared or radio-frequency receivers: the venue distributes hundreds of physical receivers and headsets, and each channel carries a language or a session. It is the same idea behind a silent disco, applied to conferences, multilingual events, guided tours, training rooms and quiet venues.
The problem with traditional silent conference hardware
Infrared and RF receiver systems work, but they are costly and heavy to run. You rent hundreds of receivers and headsets, distribute them at the door, collect them at the end, charge them, and account for the ones that walk off. Infrared needs line of sight and covers a limited range, and the number of listeners is capped by the number of receivers you brought. For a large or last-minute audience, the receiver fleet is often the single biggest cost and the biggest logistical headache of the whole event.
Silent conferencing without the receiver fleet
LisanPro AI delivers the channels straight to attendees' own smartphones. They scan a QR code, choose their channel—whether that is a language or a parallel session—and listen through a simple earbud. There are no receivers to rent, distribute, collect or charge, and no limit tied to how many units you own: the audience can be a hundred people or a few thousand, and each of them uses the phone already in their pocket.
No attendee left behind
For attendees who do not have earbuds with them, we can supply inexpensive disposable earbuds, handed out at the door, so nobody is left out and hygiene is never a concern. The result is the silent-conference experience: multiple clean channels, a quiet room, everyone tuned to what they want, at a fraction of the hardware cost.
Keep your receivers where you want them
Smartphone delivery does not mean throwing away your existing setup. Where a venue already uses infrared or RF distribution such as Bosch, Taiden or Televic, LisanPro AI can feed those systems too, so some guests listen on the house receivers and others on their phones, from the same channels. It runs from our software on site, and the setup can be installed and configured for the venue where an on-premise arrangement is preferred.
Where silent conferencing helps
- Multilingual events. Each language on its own channel, selected on the phone.
- Parallel breakout sessions. Multiple parallel sessions in one hall, each session a separate channel.
- Quiet venues. Museums, places of worship and hospitals where loudspeakers are not wanted.
- Guided tours and training. Mobile audience support where participants move around the venue.
- Outdoor and large-area events. Deliver crystal-clear translations over large distances without the range limits of infrared.
Seamless Smartphone Delivery for 1,200 Attendees
A large-scale outdoor summit needed to offer translation in four languages without the logistics of renting, distributing, and retrieving hardware receivers. They deployed LisanPro AI for smartphone delivery.
By simply placing QR codes on banners and seats, attendees scanned and tuned in using their own smartphones and headphones. Hardware costs were reduced to a minimum, and logistics were simplified completely.
Why choose LisanPro AI for silent conferencing
"We used to rent hundreds of receivers for our multilingual sessions. Now people just scan a code and listen on their phones. Same experience, a fraction of the cost."
— Event ProducerFrequently asked questions
How do attendees listen without receivers?
They scan a QR code, pick their channel on their smartphone and listen through an earbud. We can supply inexpensive disposable earbuds for anyone who needs one.
Can we run several parallel sessions in one room?
Yes. Each session, or each language, is a separate channel that listeners select on their phone, so multiple things can happen in the same space without noise bleed.
Can we still use our infrared or RF receivers?
Yes. LisanPro AI can feed your existing Bosch, Taiden or Televic distribution alongside smartphone delivery, from the same channels.
Is there a limit to the number of listeners?
No practical limit tied to hardware. Because everyone uses their own phone, the same setup serves a small room or an audience of thousands.
